RULES:
-
Runners must
sign up for the correct distance (short or long distance) prior to
racing. Your race number will indicate your race
distance for that particular race.

As a courtesy
to other runners on the trails, headphones/earphones are not
recommended so that you can hear runners who may need to pass.

Walkers may
participate in the short course. Due to limited daylight,
walking the long course is not allowed...sorry.
-
Federal, state
and local laws and ordinances must be abided by at all
times.
-
Race protests
must be filed in writing with the Race Director, Diane
Cressey, within 30 minutes of completing the race. All
protests will be reviewed and amicably resolved by the
parties involved with the ultimate decision made by the Race
Director.
SCORING AND POINTS:
Runners who finish
each race will accumulate points as follows:

1st place - 20
points; 2nd place - 19 points; 3rd place - 18 points, 4th
place 17 points, etc... for each Division.

Minimum of one
point for starting and one point for finishing.

Series
Points will be based on the best 4 out of 5 races.

In the event of
a tie, the top placement will go to the runner with - the
most 1st place finishes, the most 2nd places finishes, the
most 3rd place finishes, etc.

Bonus points on rain days and 100+ degree days. Double your points when you
race in the rain and the heat. Bonus points races will be declared by Race Director
prior to race start.

At
any time during the Series, runners have the option of racing in
either the short or long distance. Series Points will, however, be
calculated for each respective distance.

To participate in the
Series, you do not have to
start on the first race day...you may start racing at any time
during the Series.

Individual Age Divisions:
Male and Female: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,
...
Age Division winners will receive custom medals for 1st,
2nd and 3rd place at the end of the Series Awards Party.
